Why is my USB-C to HDMI adapter not working with iPad Pro?

When i plug my multiport adapter with hdmi to my ipad pro 2020 generation the blue usb c connecting mark appears but there is nothing showing on my screen ,i tried another device <samsung> and the screen appears on the projector this same adapter used to work perfectly on my ipad pro so what is the issue ?
