iPod - can't recover after flash mod

Hi!

I have an ipod classic 5.5, 80GB. I did buy an SD card, 128GB and the adapters to mod it.

I tried formatting the SD card directly via the sd card slot to FAT32, rebuilt the MBR, but also tried it while in ipod.

iTunes tries to restore it, but after completing, iPod just shows: connect to computer.

Rockbox downloads the themes and other stuff but when i try to download the bootloader it gives an error: error reading partition, possibly not an iPod.

If i format the SD, take it out of my laptop, plug it back in it still reads as 128, FAT32. But when I put it in the ipod and plug the iPod in, it says: can't read drive, please format.. and in disk management it appears as RAW (this is just after plugging iPod in, so no messing with iTunes or Rockbox).

Am I missing something? Do I need to do anything else before the restore? Is it a compatibility issue with the SD card? Or maybe the adaptors are just garbage? (Although iPod never disconnects and doesn't seem to have an apparent issue when I tried to format it.. it rebuilds MBR and formats it normally and never got another "unhappy" screen about the drive).

Thanks in advance!
