Can I use an Apple Gift Card for AirPods repairs?

Hi,

I had a question about using an Apple Education giftcard for repairs. I got an Apple Education gift card worth $150 last year in October. I have had an issue going on with my airpods; I want to get fixed. I was wondering, Can I use the gift card to pay for the repairs at an Apple store? If the repair is over $150, can I pay with the gift card and the rest myself, or not at all? For reference, I live in Canada.

Any information will be helpful.
