Trying to put new eSIM on iPhone 15 pro but there is no install option. Tried resetting network etc but nothing?

Forgive what may be a dumb question on my part, but have you confirmed that your cell carrier supports eSIMs? Or is your iPhone locked to a carrier other than the one you're trying to install an eSIM for?
