color match across two now separate clips but ones that came from the same clip

hope that made sense! I have clips that I have cut into two clips to apply effects, eg, to slow a portion down or use ken burns, (I suspect I should have been using keyframes to do this but I am fairly new to these, am I right in thinking this? A link to a good tutorial would be appreciated), but the clips have different color representations and you can see the change, I have tried applying "colour match" but this did not work. Any suggestions?

I find the clip again and re-do the entire set by using the Speed Ramp in Speed Settings, its taken time to replace the footage but I will do this in the future instead of cutting them up and applying different speeds where needed- I need to learn how to customise the sections more in Speed Ramp, but I'm pleased with the results so far- in sections that are proving difficult to color match I have also manually changed setting to fit better when color match failed, (its all footage from a single take from a go-pro).
