Discrepancy in Photo Count between Mac and iPhone

hi,


If i press Command & A in my photo’s library on my Mac it will tell me i have 8056 items, however once i have synced to my iphone ,my photo if i go to General and About it will tell me i have 107 videos and 4905 photo’s.


so my question is where are the other 3000ish items?
