macOS Sequoia cannot eject volume

I am using this setup for many years (with old MacPro and Mini/Intel). Now updated to macOS 11, 12, 13, 14 and now running 15.1 on both computers (macMini M1, and MacStudio). I am mounting a file-share shared from the Mini onto my MacStudio, but (from MacStudio) I cannot eject it - it will just stay on the desktop - no message (if the volume is in use by a program, normally, there is a message. On macOS 14 it was asking to force-eject. No more force-eject, no message).

As a workaround, I have to logoff to unmount the volume.

This was always working, but with the update from 14.7.1 to 15.1 (skipped 15.0) it is a new problem.

Dear Apple specialist PLEASE READ THIS:

I am using the Apple file-sharing, setup from the Control Panel: General -> Sharing -> File Sharing on Mini. To mount on Studio, I use Finder -> Go -> Connect to Server. To unmount, I right-click the volume and select "Eject Disk xxx" (xxx is the name of the volume).

Dear Apple specialist - please do NOT suggest "solutions" like re-installing the OS; read my description carefully - and the workaround I found (above).
