my background and theme on my iMac is set to light mode but when I search something in Google Chrome, it shows up in dark mode, making it very hard to see. How do I change it to a white background?

Check the Google Chrome settings. If they do not allow you to opt out of dark mode with their browser, try another browser, or contact Chrome support:
