Mail not working after update iOS 18.1.1

I tried these suggestions to solve the problem with the 18.1.1 update. Unfortunately it did not work.

Open Mail App > go to inbox > on top right corner touch 3 dots (next to select option) > select list view and its done.

after updating to 18.1.1 my emails all screwed up on one email i received but cannot open when i touch the email i get a blank white screen and on other email nothing n received and no send

So I did the upgrade late last week. Just happened to notice today that my recent sent emails aren’t showing up. Then I saw that all of the emails are marked as being sent from a person on my blocked list. The blocked list on my iPad shows that it’s my own email that is blocked! But I don’t see a way to change that on the iPad. However, if I go to the Gmail App….and go the blocked people….there aren’t any blocked people and the sent mail does not show the sent mails as blocked. I have no idea what to do about this.

I'm having issues too but it's the family location sharing that does not work, just a spinning wheel. ALSO the phone icon does not appear in my settings anymore so I can turn off Blocking unknown callers

what a nighmare. My chat ended in advisor saying uninstall and reinstall email accounts. I said others on community had done that and it didn't work. She said different people have different problems.

How many of us having this issue are using oauth 2.0 token for authentication? My wife’s email on her iPhone is still working and her account is using imap and a password. She has no issues.

It certainly didn't for most people. IMAP is the dominant protocol these days. If using it had been broken by iOS 18.x, it would be very big news. Without a lot more information, I don't know why you were having issues but it seems unlikely that is the reason.

this work around: go to Settings>Mail>Account and delete your Yahoo account, then read the deleted mail account to your email accounts.

I have 2 email accounts using IMAP, one using gmail and one using Yahoo (both of which are IMAP under the covers), and two using Microsoft Exchange.

All of them worked seamlessly after updating to 18.1 and 18.1.1.

Hello Apple, are you listening? iOS 18 update has caused both us to be unable to receive INBOUND email on our Internet service provider email account. We receive message “Unable to Connect to Server, check to see your settings are correct”. Yes, my settings are correct as verified with internet provider. Was on the phone an hour with Apple support, she tried everything she knew of, nothing worked. My internet email provider says that it is the Apple 18 update that caused the problem and Apple has to make a patch! I We sincerely hope you’re working on a patch. Thank you.

Do you not realize that you’re On a thread that is full of people whose email no longer works because of the iOS 18? I am not on a VPN, my inbound and outbound both have Authentication as MD5 Challenge.

I get notifications of significant issues, and I haven’t seen this listed. I hope the next version solves your problems, but if not there is still troubleshooting to be done. The only reported email issue that I saw was that MS Exchange didn’t always sync correctly, but that was reported by less than 10 users.
