Compromised passwords on laptop, Is it Safe to change using the same device?

if passwords app shows compromised passwords (duh..)and login info,

i'm not going to go through all of them, but for important ones,

is it safe to change passwords and info using same laptop, or is it likely that the machine itself might potentially be compromised?

and if so, is it safe then to log in on another laptop with the compromised info to make the change ?

what's the safest and smartest route to 'fix' this issue best ?

Your password on your Mac wasn't compromised.

The password you used for some internet account was also used by many other people. Some database of passwords was compromised. It could have been your account password, or it could have been someone else's password that was the same as one you use.

The warning doesn't indicate at all that your account that used that password was compromised.

thanks for the quick reply,

lets assume the logic from ur answer is flawless, so the notification itself may only be for users having same password, and similar issues, although most financial services and important institutions with login info do warn if a psd is too similar, but lets assume all u mentioned is exactly correct (since I have no reason to think otherwise) if I were to choose to rest and change some of those.. is it still objectively safe to do on either laptop? or should any other safety measures be implemented ?
