Locked out of AppleID on new Macbook - cannot sign out without changing password - going round in circles

Purchased new MacBook 16 Pro, got locked out of it when I was in the UK. Now im in Saudi, keep resetting via iForgot.apple.com which then says they will get back in touch with me after 4 days (have used the correct credentials such as mobile number etc but since i cannot sign in to icloud cannot use the email) but never hear back so have to keep resetting. so frustrating. Is there any other way to wipe the Apple ID from this MacBook so that I can use another one please? Scared to reset back to Factory settings as i have now installed other products onto this device such as Cloud Back up and MS office...

Is there anyway to sign out without having to reset password as I dont even need this user account just want to remove it from my MacBook so that i can sign in with an existing Apple ID account.
