Lost CarPlay connection between iPhone 13 Pro and a 2023 Audi A4

All of a sudden I lost my Car Play connection between my phone (13 Pro - 18.1.1)) and a 2023 Audi A4. Was working fine and I was enjoying the functionality, but now I am a little ticked I can't get the connection established again when the car is only 20 months old.

I've sat for hours with the owners manual and the phone trying to make something happen without real success. Once I had Car Play up and running, but it lost connection once I got out of the car. I sat for an hour with an Audi guy and he didn't make any more headway than I did. He says it's because my 13 Pro is so old. I don't buy it since it was working fine.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
