Why does my print center disappear after printing starts after I updated to ios18. I am using iPhone 12 Pro Max. Before the upgrade I was able to see the print progress on my phone in the app switcher screen.
It's funny how Apple will not let me put IOS of any kind in the detail area or am I in the wrong place?

Sounds like the printer manufacturer is trying to make Dynamic Island work. Are you using latest software for the printer? It’s also possible that printer manufacturers software is not updated to use dynamic island and it’s trying to resolve the display the best it can.
Solved. Now a new style of printer activity is displayed only when you are on the outside of Lock Screen and flip finger up to sign into phone. This is beyond weird. You have to close your phone while in an app just to see printer status??? Thank you to everyone that offered a solution to this issue.
I guess everyone must catch up after an iOS release. All my phone updates are done I'm not sure if Epson can do anything. Smart Center was updated after IOS 18 was done. This did not fix the problem. On a newer phone just fyi iPhone 15 with iOS 18 the printer control Center also does not work as it did in the previous IOS. iPhone 15 shows printer activity on the very top on the screen scrolling the printer status across the top. My iPhone 12 Pro max is not as advanced to scroll data across the top. At least on iPhone 15 you don't need to exit app to view printer control activity. Thank you again for your added information.
