Iphone wont charge except when connected to a mac or apple charger
I have been using my iPhone XS for ages now, perhaps it's time for a new one, but still this should work right?
In the past I used to be able to connect the iPhone to my Samsung charger and it would charge, similarly I could charge it connected to either of my laptops (windows 10 and linux) as well.
However since recently (not sure when i don't use the iPhone often) the iPhone simply will not charge from my samsung usb chargers (i tried 3 different official samsung charger models), it doesn't charge from an Ikea usb charging brick. It also doesn't charge when connected to either laptop, both show that nothing is identified over usb.
I connected an inline usb power meter which shows that absolutely nothing happens when connected to the laptops or the samsung chargers.
It can only charge when it is connected to the mac mini I have at the office and with an official apple usb-c charger I bought because I need to use this phone. So I thought maybe because it was battery dead, it wants a Apple source to charge from but even now when its full it won't showup on the windows or linux laptop. Yet it works perfectly fine on the mac mini, everything works as it used to.
Is this a setting perhaps?
Did this change recently?
Are iPhones not allowed to charge from non Apple usb charging ports anymore?
