how to transfer itunes library to my iphone se

I want to copy all of the songs from my MacBook. I do NOT want to SYNC or use iCloud.

I connected the phone to the laptop using a USB port, but don't see how to copy.

The music is a mix of songs purchased from Apple and those copied from my CD collection.

I do not have Apple Music.
