I have been trying to update to iOS 18.1.1 but it’s not showing up in iTunes as available update. I have been checking multiple times every day by way of clicking on check for update in iTunes and it shows up that my iPhone 13 Pro Max is already updated to iOS 17.7.2 and it’s the latest update.
Has any of the iPhone 13 Pro Max user been able to see the update in iTunes application and updated successfully ?

What happens when you try to update the phone by going to Settings>General>Software Update on the phone itself?
I am on iOS 17.7.2 with an iPhone 15 Pro. I just hooked mine up to iTunes and get the same behavior, it telling me it's the most recent version.
I have never updated via iTunes only by downloading updates thru the phone so never thought to look. I wonder if this is some sort of new behavior with iTunes.
Sometime the latest version of iTunes is required to perform a major iOS update as in 17.x --> 18.x
I have been mine directly as mentioned above.
I have not yet leaped from 17.7.2 to 18.x
I'm waiting for a bit more feedback as I sync. my phone to Outlook and it that breaks.............. I'm screwed.... :-/

iOS 18.2 should be out by now, but it is perhaps possible that it isn't showing up for iTunes users for some reason. I've seen someone else post about the lack of an update in iTunes for Windows even though it shows up under Software Update on their device. In their case the device is too full to permit an over the air update which is why they want to use iTunes. Whether this is intentional or not only Apple would know, but it may just require a little patience.
