Ever since I received the latest IOS update my Apple Music on my IPad keeps crashing every time I open it and I can’t play any of music on request? Not sure what to next…

Which iPad do you have?
I’ve seen similar reports about Apple Music crashing in iPads after iOS updates, but I’m not sure what causes it.
You say that the app closes right after opening, and that you can’t play any music.
The most effective troubleshooting step I can suggest, is deleting the app from storage settings and reinstalling it again. I’m not 100% sure if that fixes the problem, because I’ve had major crashes recently with the YouTube app using my iPhone 11 and it didn’t solve the problem. If it doesn’t work, then you have to wait till Apple fixes the bug
No unfortunately that was the first thing I did... didn't work. I have a 9th generation IPAD

Did you contact tech support on this one? What did they tell you?
