Songs in my playlist on my iMac are not available on my iPhone

There are a few songs on my M1 iMac running OS 15.1.1 that I can play on the computer, but even though they show up on my iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 18.1.1, I get the message that they are unavailable in my country (US). This has been an issue since switching from iTunes to Music. I just never got around to asking about it before. Can this be fixed and how so?

Thanks.

Try removing one of these from your phone, then connect the iPhone into the iMac, and then sync the phone. Make sure the song you removed from the phone is checked as one of the selected songs to sync. Then see if it plays before going further with the rest.

This worked for me quite a few years ago, but who knows what has changed since, which is why I suggest only trying it with one song first.
