Music Audio becomes quiet and compressed / bad quality when on call

Music app: Spotify

Calling apps: Discord / WhatsApp / iPhone normal call

When I answer / call someone, the music playing on any music app becomes awful quality and ducks in volume / goes quiet. Is there a way to avoid this?

As it makes listening to music whilst on a call very frustrating / not worth it unfortunately
