Apple Music app on LG tv doesn’t work.

I updated my Apple Music app on my LG tv and now the app doesn’t work. Has a grey screen. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times. Unplugged the tv. Clear the cache on the web browser settings. Nothing seems to work. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you

Just remove the TV from the list of devices that were associated with Apple account and reinstall apple music app. Thats all

After some work I was able to get Apple Music going again on my TV. YMMV, but here's what I did:


  • Uninstalled both Apple Music and Apple TV from my LG TV
  • Unplugged my TV from power, waited 10 seconds, then plugged it back in. I assumed that would force the TV firmware to restart. (There may be a better way to restart webOS on the TV, but I couldn't find it.)
  • Followed the. procedure here to remove the TV from the list of devices that were associated with my Apple account: Check your Apple Account device list to find where you’re signed in - Apple Support
  • Downloaded and reinstalled Apple Music from the LG Content Store


After starting the Apple Music app, the QR code was displayed asking me to sign in. Once I signed in, everything was working again.
