There are various alternative methods that will enable you to distinguish between Halloween and Christmas (for example), using your preferred numbering.
- You could manually place specific songs (tracks) into a Regular Playlist regardless of the genre tag in a track. So all songs that you regard as Christmas songs can be in one playlist and all songs that you regards as Halloween songs into another. (Don't forget, any song can be in more than one playlist, so if you have a song that you want in both playlists, that is very simple to achieve). Even if two "Christmas" songs are in different genres (i.e. Christmas and Xmas, or as I've just found in my Christmas playlists, Classical), they can all be in a specific playlist
- You could then play the specific Playlist as and when it suits you
- You could also assign a grouping to songs, so that a Smart Playlist would automatically catch them. With Grouping you can have more than one keyword in the Grouping field, i.e. your choice of 12/25, 1225 or 1031
Which method you choose will be up to you, possibly determined by how you wish to access the lists.
If you would like more information on how this idea works, or help in creating a Smart Playlist using Grouping, please ask.
