iMovie doesn't work on iPad.

Dropping pictures and video to the time line works fine, However, when I press the play button it doesn't scroll through the selected material. It either shows just the first picture or the screen goes black. What I've tried is tuning it on and off. Deleting the app and reinstalling. Same result. Tried this on the iPhone same result. iMovie works on theMac. Very confusing.

For projects consisting of photos, inserting a video anywhere in the time line is a workaround until Apple addresses the issue.

Another vote for this issue! I have 200 middle schoolers all reliant on iMovie to make videos for class - all unable to do it without the interface working properly. How is that for a sample size Apple? 200 iPads 9s.

Hello? Apple? …apple? …..apple?

please make this a priority to fix… it’s ridiculous that it’s taking this long to fix a tool that is a large reason for even purchasing Apple products. It’s terrible to feel ignored.. editing still photos on iMovie seems broken… please help us understand

Just downloaded the new iOS 18.3.2 update. Unfortunately that didn’t take care of the iMovie issues. I was told by someone in Apple support that the iMovie issue is still being investigated. So, unless we get an update in the iMovie App, we most likely will have to wait until for 18.3.3, which I’m guessing will be a month or more away. I’ve been waiting since the end of January. So, either the engineers at Apple aren’t very good. Or, Apple doesn’t want to allocate resources in getting the problem fixed.

Same issues with the photos & videos. Even further issue with text titles. Cannot change the duration - the text is only lasting ~1 second. Cannot even see it in the preview.

I deleted app and reinstalled via JAMF. Updated to latest software and even updated the app. iMovie working on iPads with the older versions of the software - ugh!

I did the same thing. But it's still not right. I had a visit with Apple Support and they recognize it as an issue. According to the tech, they have engineers working on it. In the meantime, I'm using my Mac.

Thanks for the response.
