iCloud Shared Albums on Windows creates duplicate folders

Each time iCloud Shared Albums on Windows starts it shows itself as all empty folders with no pictures.

When I look in the subdirectory that hosts those files, for every shared album folder a new version is created but with a _1 then _2 _3 _4 and so on.

So I had

personal

holiday

work

and after a few restarts I now have:

personal

personal_1

personal_2

personal_3

holiday

holiday_1

holiday_2

etc

etc

Each time it starts downloading all pictures to new sets of directories.

So every personal_X folder end up containing all personal pictures, but the old folders are not deleted. So the size of this folder is just exploding. Not to mention it created Gigabytes of traffic each time.

Could this have something to do with file or directory access rights? I remember having read about file access rights and iCloud pictures on Windows, but I don't recall where.
