The mail app icons that came with update 18.2, I find them annoying, is there a way to remove them?

THANK you! I was trying to find a way to do it within the open app, which obviously was not possible. Those icons clutter the screen and are not helpful. Appreciate your answer!
How to KEEP photos within the CONTACT list… but still Remove the Category Icons in iOS 18.2 Mail.

That's great for iPhone, but what about Mac?
That only turns off the icons temporarily…how do I turn them off permanently!
The only way it would be temporary is if you turn that Show Contact Photos back on. Make sure you do not have Categories on.
