Just like all the rest of the failure to run hearing test. Quite room, good fit, multiple try's. NO HELP from support.

Hi Bluemoto69

Re: AirPods Pro 2 Hearing Test failure : Just like all the rest of the failure to run hearing test.

Seems we aren't hearing as much from those who simply take the test and go on to using the hearing-aid feature. Sorry it hasn't been that smooth for you, or for the others you mentioned.

Maybe there's a re-curring interruption ... planes flying overhead un-noticed, or fit not remaining secure during the five minutes it takes to complete the hearing test. The hearing-aid test and features are for those over 18 with "mild to moderate" hearing loss ... so perhaps those with severe hearing loss may not get through it ok. We'd only be guessing ... we are all Apple users, like yourself, in this community.

If there's an error message, that would likely pin-point the cause of your problem situation.

There's an article about using the right ear-tips if you haven't seen that yet:

Eg: Your AirPods Pro (2nd generation) come with four sizes of ear tips.

AirPods have had other useful hearing help features (Eg: Live Listen, Transparency / Noise Cancellation modes, Conversation Boost etc.) for some time now, and those don't rely on the hearing test being completed.

I wonder whether or not the software can tell with an unfinished test ... you would think the end-result would be necessary. (Someone posted in the community saying their test showed "severe" hearing loss.)

I have heard there are websites online where you can also take a "free hearing test". I don't know how reliable or private they are.

One I noticed, with a quick check online, suggested a "quiet" place for the test was inside a closet full of clothes, and also with noise-cancelling headphones (AirPods have noise-cancelling).

Some city libraries also have a soundproof room available.
