Trying to rip a cd to iTunes but it keeps coming up with the error code (-54). I am able to download the cd to a file and it will play in iTunes but it none of the songs will stay in my iTunes library, I have to access them through a file on my hard drive. Any suggestions?
Still a no go. Kind if odd there are 5 cd's that I have had this problem with and they are all James Taylor cds from 2 different box sets, 3 out of 5 in one set and 2 out of 6 in another, all the others download with no issue. I would just purchase the iTunes version of them but it cost more than both cd sets combined.
If the import works with some CDs, the issue is not with “Removable Volumes”. Try to tweak the import settings.
Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Files and Folders > Music and make sure “Removable Volumes” is on.
Thank's for the reply but that didn't work. The setting was on so I turned it of and then back on and still got error 54
Quit Music, turn the setting off, reboot your Mac and turn the setting back on.
