Tracking stolen AirPods after lost mode

My airpods were stolen when they were uncharged, the person who stole them charged them and started using them, I got to track them, I turned on lost mode, and now I have gotten them back. Is it still possible for the person who stole and connected them to their phone to still see their location after turning off lost mode?
