I have been hearing about a weird sim ejector pin that came with iphones. The ejector pin is a round shape and it has a gap near the bottom. The normal ones are flat and theres no gap My mom got one of these with her iphone 12. I have seen these with iphone se models as well. I live in Canada though and I'm not sure if this is a region thing or not.

FWIW, I've seen both types included with Apple iPhones & cellular iPads. I don't this is an issue to be concerned about.
