Siri command resume Spotify restarts the episode/track or skips to the next episode

Since around 2024-12-19 when I give Siri the command to resume Spotify it restarts whatever I’m listening to or skips to the next track. Previous to this, it would correctly resume the episode I was listening to at the correct time stamp.


This does not happen on Apple Music. Only Spotify.


I have:

  1. signed out of Spotify
  2. uninstalled Spotify
  3. restarted iphone
  4. verified I’m on the latest iOS version.
