Apple Pencil 2 not showing up

I have an IPad Pro gen 4. I bought a new Apple Pencil 2 and it isn’t connecting to the iPad or recognized. I’ve done all the fixes online like hard restarting, resetting the network settings, cycling Bluetooth and letting the pencil charge. I put it on the magnetic connector and no sign that it’s charging and no sign in Bluetooth. I bought another and it’s still doing the same thing. I’m on iOS 18.2
