Stand alone touch ID reader

I have a keyboard that does not have a touch ID reader. Just regular old keyboard that works well for me. However, without the ID reader, passwords are required all the time. I've been searching for stand-alone touch ID readers that are compatible with a Mac, but have only seen Windows versions.

Does anyone know if such a thing exists? If so, where?
