Left AirPod not charging in AirPods case

every time I put my AirPods in the case, only the right one will fully charge to 100%. It’s like I have to push the left AirPod into the charging case, but even when I do that, it still won’t charge all the way. I’ve tried cleaning the case out and it still doesn’t charge the left airpod no matter how hard i push it down.
