AirPods Max affecting call quality and volume on iPhone

My AirPods are affecting my phone call with breaking up conversations. Even my internet connection.

im not sure Why? Even when mostly not in use?

What do I do to resolve this? The light on AirPods are continuously on, I cannot switch off. Could this be the cause of my problems?

the volume on these AirPods are also low, even though my phone and headphones are switched on full. I need these louder. Please help me.
