IPod Touch not recognized by Itunes

My IPod Touch is not being recognized by Itunes, Apple Music, or Apple devices. It is showing in Windows Explorer and I am able to choose to trust the device in the IPod itself. I attempted to remove and reinstall Itunes but it is still not detecting the device. I tried running diagnostics and Itunes is stating I don't have the Ipod service or Itunes helper installed.

First, when you install Apple Devices (or Apple Music or Apple TV), that app takes over most of the functions of iTunes and it will no longer sync to your iPod. If you want to go back to using iTunes, you need to uninstall Apple Devices and the other two apps if you installed them.


As to your issue, regardless of which app you use this may provide some clues:
