First-gen Apple Pencil not connecting or charging with 10th gen iPad
i have a tenth generation ipad and a first generation apple pencil and i can’t connect to my ipad nor see if it is charging. what do i do?

I'm assuming that you have this adapter so you can charge your Apple Pencil ... correct?
How long have you had this Apple Pencil? Has it ever been left with its battery depleted for a significant amount of time (think months)?
