How do I enable AirPlay on my Samsung smart TV?

I'm starting from square one, so please advise what the settings should be on my MacBook AND on the Samsung Smart TV. Thank you!

In general, what is important is that both devices are on the same network and that that network supports Apple zero-configuration networking protocol call Bonjour. If you are using a typical household network including a gateway/router supplied by your ISP, then it should work within your household.
