Double Audio Notification by Google Home from Nest Doorbell using MFA Hearing Aids

This problem seems identical to one suffered by AirPod users in the same situation. I'm just adding that made-for-Apple (MFA) hearing aids also exhibit the issue. When a notification is generated by Google Home from activity detected by the Nest doorbell camera (I have wired gen 2) I hear, through the aids, a double announcement. A followup comment, if any, is not repeated. For instance, "From Google Home, Person seen at front doorbell, and, Person seen at front doorbell, and, Gary seen at front doorbell". I have been unable to find a cure for this.
