Using Apple Music on Mac does not connect to my USB-C wired headphones.

Hello,

I have chosen my audio output source correctly on the sound settings, here it shows my USB-C connected headphones as an option. See image (PX7 B&W headphones)

However, when opening Apple Music, the headphones are not shown and it defaults to the Mac in-built speakers as the selected option. With this selected, no audio is heard, volumes on max.

Audio selection is an issue for me in general using Apple Music and Airplay where the system is not robust and connection drops out. This is a new one for me, where there is no audio output whatsoever ever on USB connected headphones.

I have connected the manufacturer of the headphones and ensured headphones are up to date. Looks like an issue on the Mac side as all seems OK with the headphones.

What can be the issue? Look forward to your response as a long time customer, who chose Apple due to precisely these sorts of use cases which seemed to have always worked faultlessly in the past.
