Apple Music support on WIIM streaming devices

I recently bought a WIMM Pro Plus streaming device to listen to hi-res music. I intended to use my Apple Music account to do this but learned afterward that it is not supported natively in the WIIM app (shame on me). It's my understanding this lies in Apple's court and not WIIM to get this done. Does anyone know if Apple intends on working with WIIM so it is supported in their app? If not, it looks like I'll be canceling my Apple Music service and moving to Amazon, which is a shame because the Apple user-interface is so much better IMO.
