Issue swiping through Photos on iPhone 15

I TOOK A VIDEO FROM IT!

Happens both with screen protector on and off.

I've tried both soft and hard reset already.

I restarted the phone nuermous times.

Yes, I already did deactivate or activate icloud photos.

Yes, I already played around with "keep originals" / "optimize phone storage".

Yes, I'm on the most recent iOS version (18.2.1)

And I've tried other things.

None of it makes a difference.

When I swipe through my photos, which works on every phone I have ever used in my life just normal, this iPhone ignores swipes randomly. Sometimes it happens quite a few times in a row, somtetimes for 20 photos nothing happens. However, the problem is persistent and is ALWAYS there.

Why is that and does anyone else have that?

Thanks in advance for your input

I have watched your video and noticed that touch delay, but it’s likely the forum hosts will take it down soon.

First please take a look at the following article and see if you have a Touch Accommodation setting that is adjusting the iPhone response to your touches ⇢ Adjust how iPhone responds to your touch – Apple Support

Second, it seems you have already done troubleshooting, including a force reset. It’s likely that now you will have to take your iPhone in to your nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for diagnostics, evaluation and options.

Thanks for your answer.

First: Why would the forum hosts take my video down!? I made that video to better demonstrate what problem I'm actually having?

Second: This is not a delay actually. I've tested it nuermours times and tried to find certain patterns or things that might correlate with that, which may be the cause in the end. However, nothing is different on the screen when it happens, except that in the moment when my finger is on the screen and the swipe gets ignored, my whole finger is ignored when I keep it on. So it is not a delay but rather the touchscreen doesn't recognize my finger movement and I can keep the finger on in this moment, swipe all over the screen, and nothing happens. I have to re-place the finger on the screen in order for it work again.

Sometimes unauthorized third party links can be taken down in the Community if they are not related to the thread, but yours may stay up.

There may also be a display issue with your iPhone, either way my answer remains unchanged. Please visit your nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for further assistance.

Well, I've taken the video within the screenshot folder, in order to not make this video while swiping through all my selifes (lol). The average file size there is between 1 and 5 mb and MP around 3-4. Again, screenshot folder.

But the problem I demonstrated happens everywhere, also in my normal gallery. And for me it seems random when it happens.

Also I noticed, when I do really fast swipes nonstop, it doesnt happen. But im talking about a pace of those swipes that are totally unnatural.

When doing normal paced, natural swipes, when you for example wanna quickly look through your last photos, then the problem happesn every few photos.

Edit: Oh and resolution....1179x2556. ** again, it happens all over the place. It just happened right now on a photo I took outside, with the normal cmaera. So it feels like "whatever" and seems not connected to the res, file size or what so ever.

I did it earlier when I saw your reply and it made no difference. It still happened again with the same randomness as before.

But wether that is ram related or not, and I barely even use this phone, this is unacceptable. I guess one can expect for this price of a phone, to be able to swipe through the photo gallery without touch inputs being ignored - which even my old iPhone 6 still is able to do with how much RAM?

So it seems like all Im getting out from my new Smartphone purchase is a lot of stress that is upcomming. Cant drive to an apple store, so have to do it all via sending it back and what not. Great stuff.
