Airpods 4 ANC quiet when using MS Teams on PC

I recently purchased the Airpods 4 ANC as my first pair of apple headphones. I am overall impressed with them and there compatibility with multiple products but one of the reasons I wanted them was for use of MS Teams with my work PC.

I have searched through the forums and see others having the same issue but no solutions or updates from Apple suggesting when a fix might be coming, if it is indeed an issue on their side.

My work system is restricted so I can't really adjust many settings, so driver installs and other options are out of the question as according to my IT team the necessary ones are up to date.

Is anyone aware of any official Apple response to this, or any temporary fixes that I could try?
