Verbatim 43888 CD skipping in iTunes on HP Laptop with Windows 11

Bought a Verbatim 43888, which is Pioneer BD-RW BDR-UD04 drive. The issue I'm having is I connect it to my HP Laptop, WIN 11, with a USB-C, open up Itunes, put a CD in, the drive recognizes the CD, The Artist, Tracks everything as normal, BUT when you try to listen to a song it rapidly skips through every song without playing. I have tried everything I can find online, as far as the %ProgramData%, deleting "SC Info and adi folders" Deauthorizing, re authorize. ETC....Nothing works.....would appreciate any help

hmm

In the iTunes app on your PC, choose Edit > Preferences, then click General.
Click Import Settings, then select “Use error correction when reading Audio CDs.”
Insert the CD and import the songs again.
To prevent duplicate items from appearing in your iTunes library, delete any songs you’ve imported before.

You may also want to check with the manufacturer of your computer or disc drive to see if there’s a firmware update for the drive.
