Apple Music Promotion Denial for Airpods Max Purchase
I purchased a brand new Apple Airpods Max headset in early December of 2024. There was a promotional offer for a free Apple Music trial for up to 3 months with that purchase, for new or returning subscribers. At the time of purchasing I had an active Apple Music account and it was set to expire. Once my active account expired I went to redeem my promotional offer for Apple Music. Once I did I immediately was denied and received an error message that stated "you are not eligible for this offer". So I reached out to Apple Support and explained everything. At that point I was told that I cannot use the promotional offer because it's been less than a year since I had an active Apple Music account. And further suggested that I simply make up another Apple account and use the offer with the new account. I was a little shocked that an Apple Support employee had suggested to do that, to be deceptive and create a new account. When I asked about this "rule" where I needed not to have an active Apple Music account for at least a year I was sent a link to view the Terms and Conditions of my offer. No where in this link stated what I was being told. When I stated that to the Apple Support employee this person just repeated what they suggested earlier, to just create another Apple ID and use the promotional offer. At that point I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and was told I'd have to call 1-800-275-2273 to speak to someone. Which I haven't had the opportunity to do so yet.
So why am I being denied the promotional offer? There's no where in the Terms and Conditions I was sent that state some year rule.
