How can I lock a text box in Numbers on Mac?

Is it possible to lock the location of a text box and scroll the table behind it?

A partial yes and mostly no.


Yes, you can lock a Text Box so that it isn't easily edited. Click it and in the menu Arrange > Lock.


But no, you cannot lock the location of a Text Box so that it allows a table to scroll underneath it while it stays in place on your screen.


You can, however, place text in cells of a Header Row (you can have up to 5 Header Rows) and in the menu Table > Freeze Header Rows. Your text in the body of cell(s) then will not scroll up off the display.
