If I cancel my Apple Music Subscription - do items I downloaded into the Library from my CD's disappear or can I still use the Music Library for storing my CD's?

Yes. Apple Music is pretty much Apple's streaming and store for buying music.

Music is the replacement app for iTunes, really, and the Music folder for your music library will remain there, because it is a separate entity from Apple Music. Confused yet? Lots of people were when Apple switched over to this confusing as all get out naming scheme. What was wrong with iTunes? Beats me!

Good Luck to you.
