AirPods Pro 2 and High Frequency Sounds

I have a new pair of Pro 2's purchased because I have some hearing loss only at very high frequencies. The hearing loss is not an issue for day to day living but I love birding and am having trouble hearing some of the birds that sing or call at high frequencies (6 to 9 kHz). Because it is winter, there are fewer birds around and I am having trouble finding singing birds to test the AirPods :)

Does anyone know if the AirPods can help improve hearing at this frequency range?

Is the there a way to use the hearing test on the iPhone to see if the AirPods are really helping? (Sometimes it is hard to find the birds when you want them :)
