printer won't connect and I get this message: "canonijnetwork.bundle" is damaged and can't be opened.

That's unlikely to be malware but rather a software corruption. Have you tried reinstalling the printer drivers from Canon?
I talked to Apple Support and removed whatever software was in the way. Thank you though.
