Hello vicmixc9,
I just checked my AirPods Pro 2 (that I acquired last month and which are not engraved) and the Apple Check Coverage website shows the same as you:
I believe this is a bug on Apple's website.

Is the case engraved with a dragon? It could be a special version of the AirPods that Apple released in Asia.
Some info on what Apple is offering in some places: https://www.macrumors.com/2024/01/17/airpods-pro-year-of-dragon/
If yours is listed as a Dragon model and the case isn't, then it seems the Apple serial number lookup has issues.
For those checking the AirPods serial number before purchase, a different issue: counterfeit devices routinely copy legitimate serial numbers.
I just bought a standard Earpod Pro 2 from Amazon in Germany (No special edition), and when I went to do the serial number test on the Apple website, it told me the same thing: AirPods Pro Gen2, USB-C, DRAGON. I am an IT technician, and I tested the functionality of the earphones. They look original, but I am going to the Apple Store tomorrow to be sure. The Dragon Special Edition was created to celebrate the Year of The Dragon in China, and it should have a grey dragon printed on the case, a red dragon printed on the box, and the logo and the written 'Apple Earpod Pro" from the box should be written in red color. It is a big red flag; I don't believe Apple would use Serial Numbers from special editions on standard Earpods just because everyone would be obliged to make an appointment at the shop to check its authenticity since a fake product means no guarantee. Anyway, let me see what they say before I jump to conclusions. I will be returning here tomorrow with the answer.
You are most welcome.
Hello~ Apple produced “Year of the Dragon” as a limited edition to mark the Chinese New Year and the case is indeed engraved with a dragon. Are these engraved as *6x6* asked…if not where did you purchase these?
~Katana-San~
no, they brought them to me from New Zealand, I don't know where they were bought, but they are original.
thank you, you reassured me, I thought something was wrong with my headphones🥲
Hello! It appears to me that Apple hasn't properly labeled this model on the support website like 6x6 suggests in this thread.
The Apple Support app on your iPhone and receipts for any repairs should reference the proper model for your serial number and you can always confirm with Apple Support if you have any concerns.
no, it's a regular white case without engraving, they were new and packaged

Did you buy them directly from Apple?
