Pausing photo iCloud uploads on iPhone while traveling

How do I pause my photos from uploading to the cloud when out of country for 10 days. I want to take photos but not use data to upload at that time.

I want to be able to take photos in a foreign country, but not have them automatically upload to the cloud until I get home.

t would be wasteful to turn off iCloud Fotos, because you would have to upload your complete library again, when you return home.

To save data while traveling you could try two things -

  1. disable mobile data for Photos in the Settings
  2. and turn on Low data Mode for Wi-Fi and Mobile data. This will pause the iCloud Photos upload.

This will help to save network traffic when connected to an expensive or limited hotel network.

I am simply keeping my iPhone in Flight Mode when traveling outside the European Union and the need to avoid data transmissions and disable it only when I want to make a phone call or look at the map.
