Apple Pencil 2 disconnects at 70% battery

Title sums it up very clearly, whenever i go to use my apple pencil (2nd generation), which already has issues connecting to begin with, and it finally does work it starts at 100 then as soon as it gets to around the 70-ish mark the apple pencil disconnects and refuses to work again. Then its a waiting game until it works again. I've already tried every reconnection solution in the book and there doesn't seem to be anything that can fix it.
